Vossa Nova
Vossa Nova is located on the Schiedamseweg in Rotterdam, near the Marconieplein. The building is part of a complex urban ensemble that dates from the reconstruction period after WOII. The area consists of various buildings that each resemble their own zeitgeist. This diversity creates a fascinating collage of architectural volumes. Vossa Nova contributes to this image and forms a seamless addition to the whole.
Transformer Building Amsterdam
The design, consisting of a sub-station and 3 transformer rooms, will be realised on Noord Papaverweg in Amsterdam. The characteristic and imposing brick facade and detailed facade patterns create an aesthetic and elegant design in the middle of a residential environment, despite the closed facade. The substation is enclosed by a park and a green corridor that forms a natural buffer for the housing development on the west side that has yet to be built.
Sango Seeds
The design of this business complex in Naaldwijk integrates modern and natural elements in a refined way. The slightly recessed entrance invites visitors through the use of warm wooden accents, which subtly contrast with the metal cladding.
Tennispark Sloterplas
Tennis park Sloterplas, designed by Arons & Gelauff and Basic City, consists of 565 homes, a sports complex with 8 outdoor tennis courts, 2 indoor tennis courts and 4 indoor padel courts, an indoor parking garage and a community school.
Sports Accomodation Naaldwijk
The sports hall forms a height accent and acts as a beacon in the area, with a roof that visually connects to the fields. An overhanging roof provides a covered terrace and grandstand, which makes the building interesting.
Cube Tower
The CUBE concept has been developed into a high-rise variant, trying to address the enormous housing challenge that the Netherlands is facing and, as an extension of that, the great need for inner-city densification. The CUBE Tower is a design with many advantages; smart, contemporary, demountable, flexible, fast, sustainable and affordable and is now actually just waiting for implementation
The Urban Theatre
The Urban Theatre suggests an answer to the question: how can Architecture be less permanent and more responsive to the ever-changing needs of society?
City, Data, Privacy, people
As an extension of my graduation assignment, I conducted a research in collaboration with the Municipality of Amsterdam into the collection and use of data in public places in the city of Amsterdam.
